Macedonian Language:
Macedonian (makedonski jazik) is the official language of the Republic of Macedonia (former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) and a member of the Eastern group of South Slavic languages. Standard Macedonian was implemented as the official language of the Socialist Republic of Macedonia in June 1945, was codified between 1945-1950, and a thriving literary tradition has since developed. Macedonian dialects are part of a dialect continuum with Bulgarian at one extreme, Slovene at the other, and Serbo-Croatian in-between.
The Ancient Macedonian language was spoken by Ancient Macedonians, during the 1st millennium BC. Marginalized from the 5th century BC, it was gradually replaced by the common Greek dialect of the Hellenistic Era.

Lithuanian Language:
Lithuanian (lietuviu kalba) is the official state language of Lithuania and is recognized as one of the official languages of the European Union. There are about 3 million native Lithuanian speakers in Lithuania and about 170,000 abroad. Lithuanian is a Baltic language, closely related to Latvian, although they are not mutually intelligible. It is written in an adapted version of the Roman script. The Lithuanian language is believed to be the most conservative living Indo-European language, retaining many features of Proto Indo-European now lost in other Indo-European languages.

Lietuvių kalba yra labiausiai vartojama iš rytų baltų kalbų. Ja šneka apie 3 mln. žmonių Lietuvoje, šiek tiek Baltarusijoje ir Lenkijos šiaurės rytuose (vadinamos lietuvių kalbos salos). Iki Antrojo pasaulinio karo lietuvių gyventa ir Rytų Prūsijoje, kur nuo XVI a. vidurio buvo išsiplėtusi lietuvių literatūrinė bei kultūrinė veikla.
